A Day At Sandal Suites Operated By Lemon Tree Hotels
Let’s be honest – business accommodation can be kind of… dull, formal and perfunctory. That’s why Lemon Tree Hotels’ Sandal Suites is so great – it’s none of those things! An offshoot of the upscale serviced apartments movement, Sandal Suites is outfitted for extended stays and weaves a spell on corporate travellers, delegates and industrialists. Offering sleek, globally-relevant interiors and stocked with luxury amenities that are ideal for an extended stay, its close proximity to multi-national corporations GE, Genpact, Metlife, HCL, Accenture, KPMG, Samsung, makes it the perfect choice for business travellers. What’s more, the service apartments are ideal for wedding guests, weekend getaway or a break enroute a road trip to Agra- Vrindavan- Lucknow as it’s just off the expressway!!
Coming to my stay, it was insightful. Entering the driveway was an oasis of calm. Walking in, the reception was a warm, bohemian-chic spot that encourages lingering. The management quickly completed check-in formalities and led me to the deluxe suite – an apartment-style suite with a bedroom, living room, kitchenette and balcony with a view of the lush green belt. I immediately felt at home, unpacked and hung my clothes in the spacious closet. As a part of this hospitality group, there is a certain level of luxury you can expect, here and my experience exceeded my expectations. Taking a round of the property to discover its facilities, I noticed that the 195 suites – across categories and price range – were all spacious and stylish, with modern interiors, paintings and luxury amenities, and appreciated the suite for differently-abled guests. A thoughtful gesture. Overall, there are a range of suites from studio to executive and deluxe and if you’re looking for a larger luxurious space, The Crest is a lovely upgrade. The ballroom can open into a garden if required and is equipped for weddings, private events and corporate meetings. As you’d expect, there’s a gym, spa, salon, squash court, table tennis, kids room, books and magazines, business center, pool, restaurant and bar.
At 3:30 p.m. I headed to Kiyomi spa, which offers a range of signature treatments, and I opted for a deep tissue massage. Deeply relaxed an hour later, I perused the wellness menu and indulged in fresh watermelon juice and tapas. At sundown, I indulged in some me-time lounging on the poolside deck chair with a bestseller, and then headed back to the suite to shower, change and meet my friend at alfresco restaurant Citrus Café, where the European degustation menu was sumptuous and service was knowledgeable and attentive. At 10 p.m. we made our way to Bitters where we relaxed with cocktails whipped up on our table by mixologist Sameer Soni… and I was back in my suite at midnight.
Following a sound sleep in the softest bed with multiple pillows, I woke up at 8 to workout in the gym equipped with cardio equipment, workout machines and free weights, showered and had breakfast in the suite balcony… time flies when you’re enjoying yourself and soon it was check-out hour. It was touching that the management came out to the reception to bid me adieu and gave me some momentous to embellish the experience. My last thoughts as I drove out of Sandal Suites operated by Lemon Tree Hotels was, it is the perfect space when business travellers or International tourists need a home away from home. I would highly recommend it, away from the busyness of the neighbourhood, and due to its upscale serviced apartments with facilities of infinity pool, spa, salon, squash court, restaurant and bar after a tiring day of meetings and negotiations! Nostalgic for home food? Simply whip up something in the kitchenette with ingredients stocked in the fridge or request the chefs to help out; what more could you want?
